Winter Corporate Games Volunteering will run from October 1, 2026 - March 1, 2027.Overview
Participants will be able to volunteer at any of the volunteer organizations listed below from October 1, 2026 - March 1, 2027. Participants will indicate their company when registering to volunteer and the Volunteer Organizations will track total hours for each Corporate Games Companies. We will use the 2026 Corporate Games Divisions and the companies with the most volunteer hours in each division will receive a plaque and be recognized at our Admin Meeting in April. This will be total hours comined from all of the organizations combined, not indivudal awards for each of the volunteer organizations. The organizations that you can earn credit toward your companies volunteer hours are below. Click the red text for each one for more information on each! Make sure to list your organization when signing up to volunteer to ensure credit is received!

Ronald McDonald House Charities
Mission: Supports families and promotes healing when children need healthcare.
Volunteer Opportunities: Food prep, cooking, and cleaning to support families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. 2-hour shifts, 7 days a week. Individuals and groups are welcome. Contact Caroline Baker at volunteer@rmhdesmoines.org.
Science Center of Iowa
Mission: Engages and inspires Iowans through lifelong science learning.
Volunteer Opportunities: Cleaning, exhibit repairs, facility projects. Monthly sanitation support available through SCI Preschool. Opportunities for 1–20 volunteers on Mondays for Corporate Teams. Contact Kenzie Kraling at kenzie.kraling@sciowa.org.
IMPACT Community Action
Mission: Helps individuals and families move toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
Volunteer Opportunities: Food delivery and assembling bags to support individuals and families in the community. Contact Jessi Baulk at jbalk@impactcap.org.
Everybody Wins! Iowa
Mission: Increases children’s success in school and life through reading and mentoring with caring volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunities: Weekly reading mentors during the school year. Currently seeking winter mentors and fill-ins. Approximately 1 hour per week. Contact Stacey Pearce at spearce@everybodywinsiowa.org.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa
Mission: Creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Volunteer Opportunities: Mentoring, group events, and fun outings with youth. Opportunities available for individuals and corporate teams. Contact Jay Hall at jhall@bbbsia.org.
YMCA of Greater Des Moines – Supportive Housing Campus
Mission: Provides hope, dignity, and support through permanent supportive housing.
Volunteer Opportunities: Serve meals, organize donations, prepare care packages, clean, and help with holiday projects. Individuals and groups are welcome. Contact Nicholas Drahazol at nicholas.drahozal@dmymca.org.
Special Olympics of Central Iowa
Mission: The mission of Special Olympics Iowa is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Volunteer Opportunities: There are several upcoming sporting event opportunities to volunteer at including State Bowling!

Adaptive Sports Iowa
Mission: To provide statewide leadership in the planning, promotion, education, and organization of sports and recreation opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities.
Volunteer Opportunities: Adaptive Sports Iowa will be hosting a Split the Pot Raffle at all Iowa Wild home games during the 2026-2027 season. This game-day fundraiser provides fans the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets during all Iowa Wild home games with the live raffle taking place at the end of the 2nd intermission.
